Talisman was the self-titled 1st studio album by Swedish hard rock band Talisman released in February 1990 on Airplay/Vinylmania in Sweden.
After a couple of weeks from its release, the first single "I’ll Be Waiting" entered in the top ten on the Swedish singles chart and was No.2 on the 'Trackslist', a major radio show. The album sold more than 30.000 records in two months, but then the label went bankrupt.
The band did some touring, featuring Jason Bieler on lead guitar, Jake Samuels on drums and Thomas Wikström on keyboards and backing vocals, and charted top ten on the attendance chart during that summer.
Even though the album had done well enough to get Marcel Jacob signed to Warner Bros. Records, while singer Jeff Scott Soto had already committed to record an album in the United States with the band Eyes, for a while, this was it for Talisman.
The album was re-released on Dino/Empire with some bootleg quality video camera sound live tracks and re-issued in 2009 as a 2CD Format including bonus tracks.
